About Solving Kids’ Cancer
Solving Kids’ Cancer helps children, and their families, affected by aggressive childhood cancers. Fighting childhood cancer on all fronts through family support, research, awareness and advocacy, we champion the very best treatment and care for children.
About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to support a small but dedicated team to raise funds by using your energy and enthusiasm to organise bucket collections and teams of collectors in your local area.
How will I be supporting SKC?
You will be responsible for coordinating arranged bucket collections, for example, at train stations, supermarkets and shopping centres and liaising with the venue. You will be supervising and motivating other volunteer collectors and ensuring that they follow health and safety and legal guidelines. You will be responsible for counting and banking money or returning it to the Solving Kids’ Cancer Office.
How will SKC help me?
As an SKC volunteer you’ll get amazing experience working in a professional organisation and the opportunity to make a real contribution to our work. We’ll provide you with training and support from our team, references for future employers as well as reimbursing your travel expenses (within London) and up to £5 for lunch.
Who are you looking for?
We need individuals with reams of enthusiasm and initiative who have a “not afraid to ask” attitude. Our volunteers have a fantastic attention to detail, are always happy to muck in and have the ability to work independently.
