Running the Wakehurst Willow 8k for Teddy

I raced in the Wakehurst Wee Willow 5K run in 2022, and am tackling the 8K course in 2023 to raise vital funds for Teddy's campaign. Three-year-old Teddy and his incredible parents Katherine and Alastair have coped with so much since his diagnosis with high-risk neuroblastoma last year. They are now fighting to raise funds for further treatments and trials, which could save the lives of Teddy and other children with neuroblastoma.
I was inspired to fundraise for Solving Kids' Cancer after hearing about Teddy's campaign through my local running club. Teddy is obsessed with trains – which brings back memories of watching Thomas when I was a toddler, and riding the beautiful Bluebell line through Sussex!
I am going to do my very best to make 'tracks' around the woodland paths at Wakehurst Place, and take the treacherous hills at 'full steam ahead'.
Teddy is a three-year-old from West Sussex who is obsessed with anything to do with trains! In July 2022, Teddy was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that has a 40-50% chance of long-term survival at diagnosis.
