Hero Awards
Nominate someone for our Solving Kids' Cancer UK Hero Awards!
What are the Solving Kids' Cancer UK Hero Awards?
Not all heroes wear capes! Each year we want to recognize and honour, through our Hero Awards, all the different people who have been there for families in the neuroblastoma community or played an active role in our vision: a future where no child dies of the childhood cancer neuroblastoma or suffers due to the treatment they receive.
Heroes come from all different walks of life. They may be 8 or 80, and they may be someone who has supported you and your family in the past, someone who is currently there for you, or a group of people. Your hero could be someone who has taken a key role with your fundraising campaign, a nurse, a play therapist, a school, a schoolfriend – the list goes on. Heroes may have supported you, your family, or the neuroblastoma community in a number of ways. The common thread is how they made you feel, how they went above and beyond to support you, or how they are making a real difference to children with neuroblastoma, both now and in the future.
Each hero will be given a personalized award that they can treasure forever. A small number of nominees will have the opportunity to be presented with their award in person at our Christmas Carol Concert on Monday 16 December 2024.

How to nominate someone
Click the yellow button below to take you to the nomination form. You’ll be asked to choose one person or one group whom you would like to nominate to receive an award. There will be the opportunity to explain in as much detail as you like why you have chosen to nominate them.
Your award winner will then receive an email from us, letting them know that they’ve been put forward for the award. If they would like to accept the award, they will have instructions on how to reach out to Solving Kids’ Cancer UK to confirm this.
Some award winners may have their story featured in the Carol Concert programme and across social media. Others may like to receive their award in person at the concert. All award winners who provide consent will be featured on a dedicated special webpage showcasing our heroes.
Nominations for 2024 have now closed.
