Our third conference, ‘The Next Generation of Neuroblastoma’, was held at Latimer Place, Chesham on the 21st-23rd November 2014.
The title of the conference intended to reflect promising developments in neuroblastoma research and the increasing movement towards more targeted and efficient therapies with lower toxicity. Heightened awareness of what the near future holds allows parents to understand the context in which they have to make difficult choices about treatment for their child.
The event was attended by fifteen world-leading clinicians and researchers, over 100 delegates and almost 50 children, making it the biggest gathering of families and professionals affected by neuroblastoma that we’d ever hosted.
Thanks to the conference’s generous sponsors: APEIRON (Platinum Sponsor); Biosceptre (Gold Sponsor); Cancer Prevention Pharmaceuticals (Silver Sponsor) and; United Therapeutics (Silver Sponsor), we were able to offer families a free conference weekend for the first time.
You can view the presentations here.
The children’s room was full of fun and activities, most of them Frozen related, and it was heart-warming to see some of the amazing children connected with the charity meet and play together for the first time.
