Solving Kids' Cancer UK Supports Groundbreaking ITCC Scientific Days Conference

Last month, NewcastleGateshead played host to the 2025 ITCC Scientific Days at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, a key global event focused on advances in cellular therapies, precision medicine and AI, and innovative therapeutic strategies. This bi-yearly gathering brings together leading experts, researchers, and clinicians to share groundbreaking insights and foster international collaboration in the fight against childhood cancer.

SKC was proud to be one of the funders of this prestigious event, reaffirming our commitment to advancing innovative treatments for young patients. Research Manager, Stephanie Restivo, had the privilege of attending, alongside Andy Pearson, the Chair of our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).

One of the highlights of the event was the poster and presentation award sessions, recognising the exceptional contributions of researchers working tirelessly to improve outcomes for children and adolescents battling cancer. These awards underscore the importance of continued research and innovation in the field. A wonderful bonus to this incredible conference was the illumination of the Millennium Bridge in ITCC blue in the evening in honour of the conference.

It was great to see SKC recognised as a significant funder of neuroblastoma research during the presentations. A heartfelt thank you to ITCC (Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer) for organising such an impactful and inspiring event. Their dedication to advancing paediatric oncology research is truly commendable, and their efforts in bringing together a global community of experts make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families.
