Several of the projects we fund have been developed and are overseen by leading universities in the UK and abroad. We are committed to ensuring the most promising academic research can be transitioned quickly and effectively from these institutions to the clinic for the benefit of children with neuroblastoma. Charities play a key role in making this possible as funding for this type of work is extremely limited, and without help from charities like Solving Kids’ Cancer many medical breakthroughs would not have been made.
For this reason, we support the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) position statement on supporting research in universities. More information on this can be found on the AMRC website, and is available here.
Whilst we do not routinely fund research using animals as part of our Research Strategy, we also support the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) position statement on the use of animals in research (available here).
