T-Cell Trial Results

There have been promising results in trials using modified immune cells to fight cancer. The technique involves taking some of a patient’s own immune cells and genetically modifying them to attack cancer cells. This data show exciting potential in Leukaemia, but there are still challenges surrounding their use in neuroblastoma and other solid tumours. A trial using this new method is due to open soon at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London; see more here.
