We’re looking for a Communications Manager!

Are you an experienced communications professional motivated by making a tangible difference?  Can you spot a strong story and drive awareness of an urgent cause?

This is an exciting new role, in a fast-paced environment as part of a dedicated, passionate and hard-working team. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to digest complex information quickly, you cope well under pressure and balance competing priorities effectively.

We’re a small charity, so whilst bursting with ideas that you can formulate into a communications strategy you must be comfortable getting stuck in and delivering them.  We need a great copy-writer who can spot a strong story plus create and source engaging content that resonates with our audiences and communicates our impact effectively. Day-to-day, you’ll be working across a broad communications mix including media relations, PR, social media, campaigning and marketing publications.

You’ll need emotional resilience and intelligence as you’ll be working closely with families affected by a complex and devastating disease.  Equally you’ll need sound judgement and great listening and influencing skills when working with a wide range of stakeholders.

If you have charity communications experience or if you’re a journalist or an in-house/agency PR looking to make your mark in a voluntary sector role, this could be the opportunity for you to use your skills to help us change lives.

The closing date is 11.30pm on 30 May 2018. Interviews will be held on 1 June and for those candidates invited to attend a second interview, this will be on 4 June.
